About the Trainer
Our first training center and pet health food store was a small building long ago on Bott Street on the West Side of Colorado Springs. After eleven years of business, in the winter of 2009, we opened the current 5000 sq. ft. training center and 2000 sq. ft. retail store at 70 Talamine Ct., in Colorado Springs. After Sharon's' passing in 2004, Shelley Bergstaser has been the guiding force behind the success of Canine Solutions training programs. Sharon invited Shelley Bergstraser early on to work with her and lead the Obedience Instruction Department.
Shelley has continued to make Canine Solutions one of the largest, best equipped, indoor, multi-discipline canine training centers in Colorado. Our focus is to have only top quality instructors who compete successfully in their area of instruction. Many are AKC Licensed Judges and many others are qualified to become licensed judges. All have attained titles at the top levels of the venue they are instructing.
Our training center is focused on helping people live better, more fulfilling lives with their dogs, using sound dog psychology and the most current positive training techniques in helping people to kindly and humanely get good behavior and to live more happily with their canine companions.
We are also one of the only competition training centers in Southern Colorado, and have helped many students to become highly competitive in Conformation, Obedience, Agility, Rally and have many students who have achieved top level titles in all the venues we instruct.
Our staff is regularly active with and volunteers for many pet related causes including pet blood drives, and pet adoption fairs locally, state and nationwide. We also donate a portion of our profits regularly to worthwhile, charitable pet organizations and NO KILL rescues.
